Apple’s 20th-anniversary iPhone 20 Pro models may feature quad-curved glass and larger displays

Summary

Leaks suggest the upcoming iPhone 20 Pro and Pro Max will add a quad-curved glass design, slightly larger screens and a revised Dynamic Island, marking the iPhone’s 20th anniversary.

Apple is expected to unveil new iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max models next year, according to a leak from the source Digital Chat Station. The devices would commemorate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone and could introduce a quad-curved glass front that blends more glass into the metal frame, potentially reducing bezel thickness and increasing screen area. The leak also indicates that the Pro models will retain a Dynamic Island, but it may be implemented as a hole-punch camera rather than being removed entirely.

The proposed display sizes are 6.4 inches with a 2,686 × 1,236 resolution for the iPhone 20 Pro and 6.96 inches with a 2,912 × 1,340 resolution for the iPhone 20 Pro Max, modestly larger than the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens on the current iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman previously noted that an even more glass-heavy design was considered but later abandoned.

While pricing has not been confirmed, analysts expect the anniversary models to be priced above the current $1,199 and $1,299 for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, yet below the $1,999 price tag of the rumored iPhone Duo.

"A more aspirational version championed by Apple’s design studio used even more glass, instead of metal, but was scrapped early on," said Mark Gurman.

The information remains unverified, and Apple has not officially commented on the specifications or launch timeline.
