Apple class-action settlement offers payouts to eligible iPhone buyers

Summary

Apple will pay up to $250 million to resolve a lawsuit over delayed Siri features, and eligible U.S. iPhone owners can submit claims for a payment of $25 to $95 per device by Dec. 21, 2026.

Apple has agreed to a $250 million settlement in a class-action case alleging delays in its Siri and Apple Intelligence features. The settlement, which does not include an admission of wrongdoing, will compensate U.S. consumers who purchased qualifying iPhone models between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025. Eligible devices include the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Verita Global, the settlement administrator, has launched a website for claim submissions. Claimants must provide contact details and the device’s serial number and may select payment via check, PayPal, Venmo or ACH. The deadline for filing a claim is December 21, 2026, and incomplete or false submissions will be rejected.

Payments are projected at $25 per device, though the amount could vary between $25 and $95 depending on the total number of claims filed. Legal fees will be deducted from the settlement fund. The final approval hearing for payouts is scheduled for September 29, 2027, with disbursements expected to begin at least 60 days thereafter.
