Juror who caused mistrial in Lindsay Clancy case shares photos with newborn daughter as fundraiser exceeds $350,000
Michael Desronvil, the holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, posted pictures with his infant daughter while a public fundraiser raised more than $350,000 for his security and legal costs.
Michael Desronvil, the 48-year-old juror whose refusal to agree that Lindsay Clancy was not guilty led to a mistrial, posted previously unseen photographs of himself holding his newborn daughter. The images, supplied to the press by Desronvil’s attorney, include a picture taken on the day his daughter was born.
The release of the photos coincided with an online fundraiser that surpassed $350,000 on Sunday. The campaign was launched after Desronvil issued a statement on Friday saying he "didn’t have any doubts" about Clancy’s guilt.
Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, confirmed his client’s identity on the social platform X and said the juror has faced threats and harassment, forcing him to relocate to an undisclosed secure location in rural New England. The fundraiser organizer indicated that the contributions will cover security expenses, legal fees, and lost wages.
In an off-camera interview with YouTuber Ray Marcel, Desronvil suggested that his political affiliation and race may have contributed to the backlash he has received.
Clancy, 36, has admitted to strangling her three children—8-month-old Callan, 5-year-old Cora, and 3-year-old Dawson—while her defense attorney described the act as occurring during a severe episode of postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors contend that Clancy acted with premeditation, waiting for her husband to leave the house before killing the children.
