Prince Harry says his children have returned to school in the UK
Prince Harry confirmed that his son Archie and daughter Lilibet are now attending a new school in Britain after withdrawing them from a previous preparatory school due to security concerns.
Prince Harry told Hello! magazine at the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner in London that his children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, have resumed schooling in the United Kingdom. The siblings were removed from a £35,000-a-year preparatory school after two days because heavy traffic was straining the family’s security team, a spokesperson said. A representative added that the decision followed a discussion with the couple’s security advisers about the practicality of the existing arrangements.
The Sussexes enrolled the children in a different school, but a leak of Meghan Markle’s personal phone number from a parent WhatsApp group raised further security concerns. Both Harry and Markle are slated to receive an official risk assessment and have been asked by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee to provide details of their daily routines.
At the gala, Harry said he was pleased to be back on British soil and looked forward to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. He also noted that the event raised more than €1.7 million for the Invictus organization. The following day, he participated in a pickleball demonstration at Ninestiles School in Birmingham as part of an education program linked to the upcoming Games.
Harry and Markle moved back to the UK in late August, six years after stepping back from senior royal duties, citing a desire to be closer to Harry’s father, King Charles III.
