Bill Belichick Denies Rumors About Girlfriend's Role with UNC Football
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick told The Wall Street Journal that claims his girlfriend Jordon Hudson is acting as a general manager for the North Carolina football program are unfounded.
New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said the speculation that his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is seeking an official position with the University of North Carolina football team is inaccurate. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Belichick described the narrative that Hudson is trying to become the team’s general manager as "ridiculous" and a mischaracterization of the facts.
He explained that when he accepted the UNC job in December, he was already involved in multiple media commitments, including five television shows, a radio program and a forthcoming book. To manage those obligations, Belichick said he asked university staff to forward any appearance requests to Hudson so he could coordinate them independently of the university. He added that the resulting email chain was later portrayed as evidence that Hudson was involved in every aspect of his work, which he called "a flat-out lie."
Belichick clarified that Hudson assists him with scheduling and reviewing certain matters, but none of those tasks relate to North Carolina athletics. He emphasized that her involvement is limited to personal appearances and does not extend to the university’s football operations.
