Two contestants eliminated in opening week of Dancing with the Stars season 35
The first week of season 35 saw the departure of male dancer Conner Leavitt and female dancer Sarah Jane Nader after a double elimination, while the remaining celebrity-pro pairs continue competing.
Season 35 of "Dancing with the Stars" began with a two-night premiere on Sept. 15 and 16, featuring separate performances by male and female celebrity contestants. A double elimination was announced after the first week, with Conner Leavitt and his professional partner Adele Zaikman leaving the competition following a salsa routine, and Sarah Jane Nader and her professional partner Hailey Bills exiting after a jive performance.
The show combines judges' scores with viewer votes to determine which couples advance. The remaining contestants include Julia Stiles, Jenna Dewan, Tatyana Ali, Taylor Hanson, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Connor Wood, Tyler Cameron, Giada De Laurentiis, Harry Shum Jr., Guillermo Rodriguez, Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller and Jackson Olson, each paired with a professional dancer.
Episodes air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and stream on Disney+, with next-day availability on Hulu.
