Summary

"South Park" will resume on September 16 with its 29th season, aired as "South America" on Comedy Central and streamed on Paramount+.

The animated series "South Park" is set to launch its 29th season on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The show will be billed as "South America" for this season, a name change announced by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone as a marketing stunt. > "Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of 'South Park' to 'SOUTH AMERICA,'" the duo said in a statement on Sept. 8.

The season’s premiere episode, titled "South American Biker Gangs," follows the boys as e-bikes arrive in the fictional setting, prompting a takeover of the streets. Episodes will air weekly on Comedy Central, with additional dates on Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 11 and Nov. 25.

Viewers can watch the new episodes on Paramount+ the day after broadcast. The streaming service offers an ad-supported plan for $8.99 per month or $89.99 annually, and an ad-free option for $13.99 per month or $139.99 per year.

The name change references recent executive orders by President Donald Trump to rename various geographic locations, a theme the show has satirized in previous seasons that featured Trump as a central antagonist.
