Samsung rolls out stable One UI 9.0 for Galaxy S26 lineup

Summary

Samsung has made the One UI 9.0 update, built on Android 17, available as a stable release for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, starting in South Korea and expected to roll out globally in the coming days.

Samsung released the stable version of its One UI 9.0 software, based on Android 17, for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. The update, which carries the September 2026 security patch, was first made available in South Korea with firmware version S94xNKSU4BZ16 and a download size of about 550 MB for beta testers; the package may be larger for other users. Samsung said the rollout could reach additional markets within the next few days. Users can check for the update by opening Settings, selecting Software update and tapping Check for updates; the installation requires at least a 30 % battery charge and a restart after download.

"The update includes the September 2026 security patch and is the final stable build after seven beta releases," a Samsung spokesperson said. The company also provided a video overview of new features and a detailed changelog for those interested.
