Packers offensive line issues addressed by coordinator after opening loss
Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich discussed the team's line struggles and personnel decisions following a 29-0 defeat to the Vikings, noting miscommunication and practice performance as key factors.
Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich spoke to the media on Tuesday after the team’s 29-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, focusing on the offensive line’s performance. He said the first game of a 17-game season should not cause alarm, but acknowledged that “miscommunication upfront” between backs and linemen contributed to the difficulties that left quarterback Jordan Love vulnerable.
Stenavich explained that undrafted rookie Donovan Jennings earned the starting left-guard role because he performed better in practice, despite limited regular-season experience. He added that the staff may consider moving Anthony Belton back to guard, a position he played in the 2025 season, to address depth concerns.
The coordinator also noted that the team had considered using tight end Tucker Kraft on a fourth-and-one sneak but decided against it due to Kraft’s recent ACL injury, a point previously addressed by head coach Matt LaFleur.
These comments highlight ongoing adjustments as the Packers prepare for upcoming games against the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons.
