Google Begins Rolling Out September 2025 Security Update to Pixel 10 Series

Google has initiated the rollout of the September 2025 security update for its Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Some users have reported receiving a 70 MB update, bringing the build number to BD3A.250721.001.B7 and updating the security patch to September 5, 2025. The Google Play system update remains on June 1, 2025.

This update follows the devices' initial release with Android 16 QPR1 and the August 5, 2025 security patch. The new update aims to enhance system security and stability. As the rollout is gradual, not all Pixel 10 series users have received the update yet, and factory images are not currently available.

The Pixel 10 series, launched on August 28, 2025, features Google's Tensor G5 processor, Android 16, and the Material 3 Expressive UI. The devices are designed to receive seven years of software support, including operating system upgrades and security updates.
