October: a sharper For You and one voice per episode
This month's changes are about accuracy. They are easy to miss when they work, which is the point.
A sharper For You
For You now follows a clearer frame based on your categories:
- Places appear only inside the categories you chose.
- People and companies follow a switch you control, so you decide whether to see them beyond your categories.
- Topics stay unrestricted, so a topic you care about reaches you wherever it is covered.
The result is a feed that matches what you meant by your choices, instead of mixing in things that only look related.
People and places that stay current
An event page lists the people, companies and places involved. Those used to come from the first article only. They are now refreshed as more articles about the event arrive, and when two events are merged, the links between them are no longer lost. The event page keeps up with the story.
One voice per episode
An audio episode now uses the same voices from the first line to the last. That keeps the episode sounding like one conversation rather than a patchwork.
How to see it
Open For You on factslane.com and check your categories in the feed settings. Event pages update by themselves, and the voice change applies to new podcast and digest episodes.
